Our Wedding Video

This September marks 3 years of love for me & my husband Dan.  In some ways it feels longer & in some ways it seems like just yesterday.  I thought I'd share our little wedding video for you today.  No, I didn't splurge on a fancy videographer or even photographer for our day, but I think the sweet little shaky blurry film captured by family turned into the perfect memory for us.  Oh, & keep an eye out for my favorite part at the beginning, where God sends a butterfly our way! {We saw quite a few that day actually.}

Happy anniversary, Dan!  You are my love forever!

2 Years of Love

Two years ago to the very day we said our "I do's" & our lives forever changed.  It hasn't always been easy, but through Jesus' strength we have always chosen love over each & every struggle.

I still do, Dan, & I always will.

Arizona Anniversary Adventure // Part 2

Here's some more highlights from our 1st anniversary Arizona trip...

{Read part 1 here.}

We traveled to the Grand Canyon on a mini day tour & visited some pretty spectacular view points + had lunch perched right on the wall outside of Bright Angel Lodge & dodged some very unafraid/hungry squirrels + ran a ways down one of the trails, carefully avoiding mule doo-doo, out of breath + laughing.  Honestly, you could spend days upon days here.  Dan already wants to go back.

We drove our rental car all the way up to the city of Page & toured Antelope Canyon X - one of Arizona's extraordinary slot canyons + hiked to Horseshoe Bend!  We almost hit a coyote in the road somewhere in the endless miles of the Navajo Nation + we stopped by some more Native American ruins on the way back near Sunset Crater.

Arizona Anniversary Adventure // Part 1

We decided to spend our 1st anniversary on a grand Arizona adventure!  Both of us had never been before, & Dan was excited to check another state off his list {he wants to see all 50} + visit the Grand Canyon & Antelope Canyon & see real desert + tons of other beautiful spots that truly showcase God's artistry in His creation.  We were not disappointed - Arizona was such a sweet place for us to herald in our 2nd year of love. {P.S.: We found that perfect heart cactus on our actual anniversary date! }

Here are some of the highlights...

Legend has it that these mountains hold the mysterious lost Dutchman's mine, which is said to be worth millions.  We wanted to be treasure hunters & look for it, but that Arizona heat, though.

Goldfield Ghost Town

We rambled around the sleepy "ghost town" {i.e.: tourist trap} of Goldfield & explored an abandoned "mine," a "mystery shack," rode an old train, & went on a sunset zip line ride {twice} that gave us an awesome view of the Superstitions.

The Church of the Holy Cross

We may not be Catholic, but this was a pretty amazing church built right into the red rocks. {This is also a free place to visit, if you ever find yourself in the area.}

This place is a giant outdoor playground & we got to go on a couple mini hikes on the famous red rocks.  Dan's giant fear of heights didn't stop him from taking the trail up to the top of one of 'em, either.  So proud of him for facing his fear! {That pep talk with Smokey did him good! 😉}

We brunched at the yummy Secret Garden Cafe {where Dan had his very 1st organic diet cola} & wandered around the shops + galleries.
